Santiago was the setting for Cognita’s most important regional gathering of the year in Latin America. Over the course of three days, leaders from 32 schools across Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil came together to align the network’s strategic vision and shape the future of education in the region.
From May 12 to 14, the Chilean capital welcomed Cognita’s leading educational leaders in Latin America for the 2026 edition of the LatAm Meeting. The event brought together principals, directors, and executive teams from the four countries where the network operates, united by a shared purpose: strengthening regional collaboration and shaping the path forward for a community that now supports the education of nearly 41,000 students.
The event featured the David Baldwin, Group CEO of Cognita, who traveled specifically to share his vision for the future of the organization. During his keynote, Baldwin introduced the new global vision: “Thriving Schools. Inspiring Futures.”, a statement that places the flourishing of every school at the center as the driving force for inspiring students’ futures.
Joining him were members of the Global Executive Team and representatives of the organization’s investors, who had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the Latin American operation and the impact the network has on thousands of families across the region.
The agenda combined strategic sessions by functional area, in-depth workshops, and visits to flagship schools in Santiago. Teams from Education, Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Safeguarding, and Technology worked side by side with their counterparts from other countries, exchanging experiences, sharing insights, and building collaborative solutions that will benefit the entire region.
It was a unique opportunity to hear diverse perspectives and discover how each country approaches similar challenges through creative and effective solutions.
School visits became one of the most enriching moments of the meeting. Attendees toured Pumahue Chicureo, Dunalastair Valle Grande, Pumahue Chicauma, Dunalastair Las Condes, The English Institute, The Greenland School, Pumahue Peñalolén, and Dunalastair Peñalolén.
At each institution, participants had the opportunity to experience firsthand the diversity of educational approaches that Cognita offers in Chile, engage with local teachers and school leaders, and take away inspiring ideas to implement in their own schools.
The second day concluded with a gala dinner honoring outstanding collaborators and teams for their contribution to the network’s educational excellence. It was an evening to celebrate achievements, strengthen personal and professional connections, and reaffirm the collective commitment to transformative education.
The applause, conversations among colleagues from different countries, and the energy throughout the room reflected the strong sense of community that defines Cognita.
With 32 schools across four countries, Cognita Latin America represents one of the fastest-growing regions within the global network of more than 100 schools in 22 countries.
The LatAm Meeting 2026 left all participants with one clear conviction: the future of education in the region is built collaboratively, through committed leaders, passionate teams, and a shared vision. Thriving schools, inspiring futures without limits.
School leaders returned to their countries with new connections, fresh ideas, and the conviction that being part of a global network multiplies opportunities for every student, every family, and every collaborator.
Cognita is a global network committed to delivering an outstanding education that prepares students for a constantly evolving world.
