Educational innovation knows no boundaries when cultivated within a global network of schools. InnGenius, a challenge-based learning and entrepreneurial thinking model developed at Colegio Las Pachas in Colombia, has begun its implementation in Chile as a result of Cognita’s school collaboration.
This synergy between countries demonstrates how good ideas can take hold and adapt to new contexts thanks to a shared vision of educational innovation. This process is articulated with the fifth edition of the global conference The School of the Future , to be held from 1 to 3 December 2025.
Teaching collaboration between Colombia and Chile
During the last few months, Juan Ramón González and Leonardo Pinzón – the teachers behind InnGenius in Las Pachas – have worked hand in hand with teaching teams from Cognita Chile to adapt the model to new contexts. More than a methodological transfer, it has been an experience of joint growth, teacher strengthening and creation of professional ties between countries.
"The School of the Future 2025" conference
This global event, organised by the Cognita network, will be the space where this collaboration will be materialised through the InnGenius Challenge International. The fifth edition of The School of the Future will address three main themes:
- Artificial intelligence in education
- Cybersecurity
- Digital citizenship
In addition, it will offer spaces for participation for students, educators and families, consolidating a global educational community.
InnGenius Challenge International
Aimed at Chilean students aged 14 and older, this challenge invites them to create innovative solutions to real problems. Through the challenge, they develop critical thinking, effective communication and entrepreneurship. It is one of the most anticipated moments of the event and reflects Cognita’s commitment to innovation and international collaboration.
From local to global: the power of a network
“The most valuable thing has been to see how the spirit of InnGenius resonates also in other contexts, and how we can enrich it with new perspectives. What started as a local idea in Las Pachas is now an international experience of shared learning,” said Juan Ramón and Leonardo.
The expansion of InnGenius is a demonstration of the potential of educational networks with a common vision. Cognita demonstrates that geographical boundaries do not prevent innovation, collaboration and transformation in education globally.
